Volunteer Outreach to Local Schools

For schools local to Bletchley and Milton Keynes, we can arrange for visits to your school for Key Stage 2 pupils by several of our volunteers who give lively and fascinating talks on what life was like for military personnel and civilians during WWII. The presentations are based on the personal experiences of the speakers, who use original artefacts to illustrate their talks.

To arrange a visit, e-mail Vicki Bates at education@bletchleypark.org.uk or phone 01908 272664 to tell us what you are looking for, and we will make a provisional booking for you if we can meet your requirements. The provisional booking must be confirmed in writing within 4 weeks of the day of the outreach visit, otherwise your booking will be lost. Mail your confirmation letter to

Bletchley Park Veterans Database

Schools and other educational establishments may now benefit from a new service offered by our Education Department, in conjunction with Bletchley Park veterans.

Following the receipt of their Commemorative Badges, many of the veterans from Bletchley Park and its numerous outstations, have volunteered to be available to schools for short talks and question/answer type sessions. We have compiled a database of these volunteers, and will be able to put interested schools in touch with veterans living local to them.
