Guided Tours and Talks for 12-19 Year Olds
A visit to Bletchley Park provides support across the National Curriculum and is particularly relevant to the study of History, Mathematics, Information, Communications & Technology (ICT) and Citizenship. These visits are also suitable for gifted and talented pupils. Single-focus guided tours and talks are tailored to the specific age group. At present we cover three subjects: History, Mathematics & Computer Science.
British and World History can be made the focus of the Walking Tour of the Site which includes a visit to The Bletchley Park Story, our exhibition on how Enigma and other Axis messages were intercepted and deciphered here during the War.
Mathematics is covered by a general talk on cryptography, or specialist talks on the Enigma or Lorenz ciphers and how they were broken. Choose one talk which can be coupled with a 1-1.5 hr duration Walking Tour of the site to make a day of your visit:
Computer Science
Please note:- Computer Science visits are now booked via the computer museum. Please contact Lin Jones at the NMoC education@tnmoc.org or phone on 01908 374708 for available dates and arrangements.
