Stories of Bletchley Park - History Resources

Since 1991, Bletchley Park has been collecting interviews with people associated with the Park and writing historical accounts of what happened here during the Second World War. Now you can find out about the personalities, the machines and how the Axis ciphers were defeated, from first-hand accounts of the people who worked here, in our new online archive. It's great for homework, planning lessons or just satisfying your curiosity about Bletchley Park and the codebreakers.

Another way to use the archive is to text keywords to our new mobile text service when you visit. Keywords can be found at each exhibit at the Park. When you send your chosen keywords, our website will automatically build your very own web page to help you learn more about Bletchley Park and the codebreakers! Access the website at Bletchley Park or peruse it at your leisure when you get home.

Codes & Ciphers - Maths Resources for Teachers

These resources are aimed at mathematics, and are based on the topic of Codes & Ciphers. They were released at the end of March 2005, and can be freely downloaded.

The resources were produced by the Centre for Innovation in Mathematics Teaching in collaboration with Bletchley Park National Codes Centre and other related organizations. You can view an introduction to the resources written by the authors and links with the Mathematics National Curriculum.

The Key Stage for each of the 20 modules is indicated in the download table. Specific Year targets are to be found at the top of the first page of the Teacher Resources for each module. The last three modules (asterisked) are specially targeted at gifted & talented students.
